The revival livery, introduced to commemorate the 80th anniversary of Odakyu Electric Railway's opening, remained in use until the retirement of the LSE.
The model represents the later years, with the silver window frames on the front restored.
The Type 7000 LSE(Luxuary Super Express) is the 3rd generation of Odakyu Electric Railway's traditional Super Express.
The train follows the structure and facilities of its predecessor, the Type 3100 NSE, and the rounded design of the Type 3100 was replaced by the straight design that was the trend in the 1980s.
In 1982, the train was lent to Japan National Railways (JNR) for a test run between Ofuna and Atami on the Tokaido Main Line at a maximum speed of 130 km/h. The train was also awarded the Blue Ribbon Award by the Japan Railfan Club in 1981.
